When a woman in Bali spotted a stray puppy, later named Delilah, she was appalled at his condition. She was so sick.
His fur had fallen off with a solid crust and his skin was covered with wounds. However, surprisingly, the pup nevertheless happily approached the woman. His tail was even wagging like crazy.
Fortunately, a woman named Charlotte turned out to be an experienced rescuer. She was sure that this sick street dog was once loved by people. Either that or she desperately needed love.
Charlotte didn’t understand what had happened to Delilah, but she knew she needed a second chance at life. Charlotte had no supplies with her and had to rush home to pick them up. But when she came back, Delilah was gone.
Now that Charlotte was armed with all the humanitarian supplies she needed, the mission to find Delilah began. She looked for him unsuccessfully for several days.
Then she met a local man who worked in the local market. The man said he knew where Delilah slept that night.
They came up with a plan. As the dog got used to the room, Charlotte gave him a special cage to catch Delilah. Dalila was safe the next day!
The happy and joyful puppy looked so sad in the cage. She didn’t know what was going on. But luckily she was safe!
Delilah’s new human friends have now placed him safely in their trailer. It’s time to take care of her and go for a medical examination. Dalila settled in a veterinary clinic.
The local was so happy Delilah was safe and kept sending thanks. Delilah has started wagging her tail again! Especially when she ate her first meal.
The vet gave the happy pup treatment for mange. After a few weeks his fur grew back and there was no more pain. It was a miracle to say the least!
For medical reasons, Delilah was allowed to visit her foster family. It was then that she met her adoptive mother, Amelia.
Amelia was happy to see Delilah in her house. She adapted very quickly. Amelia explains in the video below that due to not having time to be a puppy on the street, her puppy personality started to emerge.
She loved to play and follow Amelia wherever she went (including the bathroom!)
Delilah quickly learned all about the beach and was totally in love with it. She couldn’t get enough. Amelia started taking him there every day and made many friends.
Amelia says she’ll make a terrible watchdog because she loves every person (and dog) she meets.
The story gets better. We won’t spoil the ending. We are very grateful that Delilah is now safe and loved.
