Dick Van Dyke is an icon of the nation. Through the years, he has been an inspiration to many people, and he continues to set the standard with his amazing workout routine.
At 95, Dick uses his own equipment in his backyard for all of his workouts. He continues to dance and sing, most recently collaborating with his wife, Arlene, who also sings.
“So, all you old guys out there, listen to me,” Dick says. You can keep going for a long time, I assure you. I continue to sing and dance. He says that he thinks of himself as an active actor and that he can’t wait to turn 100.
Dick is asked, “Do you consider yourself still active as an actor?” during an interview on CBS This Morning. Dick responds, “Yes, sure!
Until this year, I had no idea how much I wanted to perform. Yes, I would perform anything on the stage right now. He shares a laugh with the interviewer as he smiles.
They talk about how he danced on top of a desk in the 2018 version of the Mary Poppins film. He claimed that the director presented him with four choices, and he chose the most difficult one!
Dick Van Dyke began his seven-decade career as a radio and television entertainer. He won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his role as Birdie in the original production.
After that, Dick was given his own show, “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” which ran from 1961 to 1966.
No one can match Dick’s legendary status when you add those accolades to his iconic role in the original “Mary Poppins.” He has won every award there is, and even in his 90s, he is still going strong.
