Cute little Lucy has Down disorder and was stranded for the initial six years of her life. Thankfully, this situation did not last forever.
Through an adoption program, Lucy was brought from China to a loving home in the United States.
When she finally got here, her new family was very nervous because they didn’t know how their little girl would react or handle her new surroundings, especially since she had been raised in an orphanage since she was a baby.
Before meeting Lucy, her adoptive parents, Brent and Audrey Shuk, were extremely concerned. Despite the fact that they already had five biological children, the couple believed they deserved another.
As Lucy arrives in her new country and family, they meet for the first time at the airport in Houston, Texas.
She is overcome with emotion when she finally meets her new parents, and she looks around her anxiously when she first arrives.
Emotions also took over as Audrey rushes to meet her new daughter. However, when Lucy is little, she says something that breaks everyone’s heart.
The young girl struggled greatly to speak, but at that precise moment, she clearly said, “MOM.” Everyone was moved by the story, and the spouses were happy despite their confusion.
