Stephanie and Dwayne had a fun day at the beach with their 3-year-old dog, Roo. But the day turned sour after he had a serious car accident on the way home.

Their vehicle overturned and landed on a nearby grassy field, but luckily they suffered only minor injuries. They immediately checked themselves out before realizing the dog was not in the back seat.

They saw that the rear window had been smashed and began to think the worst. Stephanie was sure that Ru was already dead.

Despite bleeding from the head, Dwayne began crawling on the ground looking for Roo while Stephanie called 911. They searched for Roo on the road and in the nearby grass, but to no avail.

After the ambulance arrived, Dwayne was taken to hospital, while firefighters and traffic police used heat sensors to search for Ru.

Dwayne was diagnosed with a broken sternum, but since Stephanie couldn’t be with her husband due to the virus, she returned to the area to pick up her pup.

She still couldn’t find him, but she refused to give up. She even took to social media and wrote about Ru in an effort to get as many people’s attention as possible.

At this time, even strangers joined in the search for Ru. She saw a post that someone posted on Facebook. This took them to an area five kilometers from the crash site.

Luckily, aside from the rash and soft tissue damage, Ru was found and everything was fine.

Stephanie hopes their story will teach people how to buy seat belts for their pets. If you liked this, share it with your friends and family.
