During a 93-day trip to see Romeo Cox’s grandmother Rosemary, Romeo Cox and his father Phil set out from Palermo for London.
They traveled by foot through France, Italy, and Switzerland, having many amazing adventures along the way but also facing their share of hazards.
They had challenges along the road, such as taming wild donkeys in England and avoiding groups of stray dogs in Rome.
They had to spend the night in a variety of locations, including churches, hostels, campgrounds, and even on the floors of strangers’ homes, making the voyage challenging.
They were lucky, however, to have come across several helpful people along the route who gave them a hot dinner and a place to sleep.
Romeo found the trip to be emotionally and physically draining as well as difficult because he was missing his grandmother.
Ultimately, Romeo and Phil made it to Trafalgar Square on September 21 after finishing their trek on foot.
Romeo eventually got to see his grandmother after a 14-day confinement.
The family was welcomed back to their Southborough Road house by the neighbors, who cheered them loudly.
Romeo and his father Phil were walking to Rosemary’s house from Trafalgar Square when a number of the neighborhood people joined them.
Romeo then narrated the thrilling story of his travels to a small gathering that had been planned with cake and champagne.
Romeo and his father had to put their mettle to the test on the voyage, which also let them get to know Rosemary and the locals.
