When employees at Villalobos Rescue Center in New Orleans received a report of an abandoned mother dog in poor condition, they quickly rushed to rescue her.
They were shocked when they saw her condition and feared her puppies were nowhere to be found.
When one of the rescuers called her, the pretty dog immediately wagged her tail and very quickly rushed towards her. As if she knew these people were there to help her find her missing puppies.
She then led them to a house just 20 feet from her.
After some questioning, they learned that the dog belonged to a man who was now in jail. The man’s roommate had puppies and claimed to take care of them. But rescuers believed that was not true.
When they couldn’t convince the man to give them the puppies, the rescuers sought legal help and sure enough they came back with legal permission, took the man’s puppies and returned to the mother dog.
Although a few puppies seemed weak, they immediately started suckling the bitch’s milk when they were shown to their mother again. The mother dog was so happy and grateful, it shows in her eyes.
