For 6 years now, Dr. Jem Baikal has passed the same furniture store on his way to work. Also that day, he saw two stray dogs that were still sitting in front of the shop.
The dogs were always together and it was obvious that they were best friends, and often slept on a new mattress that a store owner had prepared for them.
The shop sold sofas, beds and mattresses, and the kind owner always left a mattress to put in front of him to bring comfort to these helpless puppies.
He makes sure the mattress is always there in the winter and in the summer he makes sure they always have water and shade so they don’t get hot.
The street is located in a prosperous part of the city, and some neighbors have helped them in some way by giving food or water to the already known strays.
But it was this caring shop owner who made sure they got quality linens so they could rest well.
This gesture said a lot, because not everyone would do such a thing, and it was very nice to see․
