The students surprise the police officer who helped them

When Officer Mitch received cheers and presents from Heritage High School students in Brentwood, California, he was astonished. The students wanted to express their gratitude for his efforts.

Mitch, in his role as the school resource officer, makes everyone feel secure. Students describe him as a cool guy who cares about everyone and wants the best for the community.

Officer Mitch stated in an interview that he wanted to be a cop not to be a jerk and not to get fat. Many students are extremely appreciative of his assistance and presence.

When Mitch was summoned to the office to watch a video to assist a troubled student, the surprise began. He realized he had been duped as soon as he started watching the video.

While Mitch held the phone, he observed a number of students praising him. He was weeping, and he had no idea that there would be even more students waiting outside the office.

They reenacted Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’s “Downtown,” Mitch’s favorite music video. After that, they gave him tickets to a Miami Heat game and softballs with notes of thanks.

The crowd of students cheered and filled the air with happiness. As he opened his presents, Officer Mitch was overwhelmed with love and appreciation.
