Seeing the alligator approach her dog, 74-year-old Susan Marciano didn’t have time to think and quickly jumped forward to protect the dog.
It is nothing but a supreme display of love and courage.
Now they are still in the recovery phase, both physically and emotionally, but they are both doing well and happy that they were able to overcome the terrible moment.
Marciano said she and her two dogs have been walking the park for eight years, but had never seen any animals in the water before.
That day, when they were out for a walk, Nalu was chained and was wandering near the shore when suddenly Marciano noticed something that looked like an alligator.
Within seconds, he grabbed the dog by its jaws and Marciano did what he could at the time.
The dog underwent an operation after being bitten by an alligator, and fortunately everything was fine with him.
What refers to Marciano, she was just in shock after all that. They immediately went to the hospital, where Marciano received six stitches in his hand.
It was a very traumatic experience for both of them, but everything is now in the past and both are recovering in the comfort of their home.
