As each year passes, Princess Charlotte grows into the charming little girl she is becoming.
However, over time, it becomes increasingly clear that William, Prince of Wales, and Catherine, Princess of Wales’s only daughter, resembles a variety of family members, including her father, her grandmother Princess Diana, and her late great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
Born on May 2, 2015, Charlotte is the middle child of the Wales family, having an older brother, Prince George, and a younger brother, Prince Louis.
She is third in line to the throne, after her father and older brother. Charlotte’s full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, honoring both her grandmother and her late great-grandmother, the former reigning monarch.
The young princess is now 7 years old, and with each passing year, her personality emerges more clearly. She is proving to be the cheekiest member of the royal family.
In addition to her fiery personality, fans have long noticed the resemblance between her and her grandmother Diana since childhood.
Unfortunately, Diana died tragically in a car accident in Paris in 1997, so Charlotte never had the chance to meet her.
Nevertheless, people cannot help but notice that Diana’s legacy lives on through her sons—William and Prince Harry—and 7-year-old Charlotte.
While we cannot predict how Charlotte will be as she grows older, it is safe to say that she will be just as beautiful—both inside and out—as her grandmother.

Attentive royal fans have also noticed that Charlotte bears a striking resemblance to her grandmother Diana.
In the summer of 2019, the young princess amused royal fans when she was caught sticking her tongue out at the crowd during The King’s Cup Regatta.
According to Harper’s Bazaar, Charlotte also caused a stir when she denied photographers access to her younger brother Louis’s christening.
The young princess reportedly said, “You’re not coming in!”
Aside from inheriting her grandmother’s cheekiness, young Charlotte apparently also inherited Diana’s incredible beauty. The resemblance is simply stunning.
We’re not the only ones who think they look uncannily alike. Diehard royal fans commented on Instagram on a side-profile photo of the two at roughly the same age, uploaded last year by a fan account.

Other users in the comments discussed how similar Charlotte and Diana looked, but they all agreed that the young princess shares her grandmother’s famous smile.

Not only does Charlotte resemble her grandmother, it has also been reported previously that she owns and will wear the same jewelry that Diana once owned and wore.
According to GoodtoKnow, Charlotte is set to inherit the beautiful Spencer Tiara owned by the Spencer family.
The tiara dates back to the 1930s and was designed from jewelry pieces the Spencer family already owned to create the masterpiece.
It later became famous when Diana wore it at her wedding to King Charles III in 1981 and on other special occasions, including a state banquet in Brisbane, Australia, in 1983.
It is currently owned by Diana’s younger brother, Charles, 9th Earl Spencer, according to GoodtoKnow.
A palace insider said:
“William is close to his uncle and has asked if his mother’s tiara can be given to Charlotte one day.”
However, CNN reported in May 2022 that the Spencer Tiara was on display at the exhibition “Power & Image:
Royal & Aristocratic Tiaras” at Sotheby’s. So royal fans will have to wait to find out if the young princess will receive her grandmother’s tiara in the future.
Nevertheless, people continue to marvel at the similarities between Charlotte and Diana. In June 2022, an Instagram page dedicated to Diana posted a video of Charlotte’s radiant smile.
People flooded the comments once again to discuss her resemblance to Diana. One person wrote:
