Born in 1992 his first birthday gift from his father was a bottle of whiskey which wsa quite expensive.
So, after that every year on his son’s birthday, Peter gave him such bottle of whiskey, but forbade to open it.
“My dad gave me a bottle every year for my birthday and I thought it was a bit weird, but I followed his instructions anyway and didn’t open them,” says Matthew.
It had turned into an annual tradition for them, and during all those years they accumulated 28 such bottles.
His father had spent about five thousand pounds on them.
Now this collection of Matthew is valued at 40 thousand pounds, which is equivalent to almost four million rubles.
The broker, specialized in rare whiskey, notes that here we are talking about a perfect collection.
“The thing is that the price of this type of whiskey has risen dramatically in the last few years, so no one has seen a collection like this for a long time,” says the broker.
Eventually the man decided to sell this exclusive collection without even tasting the whiskey and was able to buy his first house.
