Though foxes are considered wild animals, there are many people who want to have them as their pets.
The thing is that only 15states allow it, and not all species. These non-domesticated predators can be really “dangerous in nature” and quite difficult to care for.
They are extremely vocal and need to mark their own territory. Our hero today is Archie, who is an older blind arctic fox .
He was taken down to a Colorado shelter when he was eight years old because his owners could not properly care for him.
But when he got there, at first he didn’t want to go out and see other foxes.
There was only one person Archie allowed to touch him, Kimberly. He now also has a new friend named Lulu and they play often.
“Many people always ask how I always manage to give so much energy to animals.
When I see the reward of giving them a wonderful life, it makes me want to try harder to see if I can give them the happiest life possible,” Kimberly said.
The blind fox was truly living his best life now and Kimberly also mentioned that most animals don’t have the instincts that these wild animals have.
Kim is doing everything she can to make sure the fox spends his last few years enjoying life to the fullest.
Because of all his special needs, his care certainly takes a lot of effort, but Kimberly simply adores what she does, giving these creatures the best care imaginable.
