Lewis Baker lived a quiet and peaceful life. He wanted to keep them away from the events that happened recently. A year ago he was not alone, he had a beautiful wife. But everything changed so that they broke up. The reason for this separation was that he grew up in a large family and wanted to have children, but the woman had her own desires and did not want it.
She would never become a mother because she didn’t like children. They realized that their relationship could not continue like this. Separation was the only option. He wanted to find a woman who would love him so that they would have children. One day he was going to work when suddenly he heard a sound of crying in the street.
He stopped to listen more carefully what it was and realized that it was coming from nearby. He was late for work, but he wanted to understand what kind of voice it was. He was very worried that he heard such voices early in the morning. So he found a lady who sat with her head down and was crying.
He approached the boy and wanted to help. However, as he approached the boy, the boy suddenly raised his head, opening his deep red eyes from crying, and stood up. When he told the boy that he wanted to help him, the boy said to take him away from people. He did not understand what kind of people we are talking about. He decided to calm the young man down and ask what was wrong, but before he could do so, the boy started screaming.
The boy was behaving strangely, which started to worry the man. The boy started running towards the church. He followed him but did not find him throughout the church. The boy had disappeared. Then he found him crying behind the church. The boy asked him to take him with him. The man said he would help him, but he wanted to know what was happening.
The boy told that his parents died and he has no guardian. He said that he lived in an orphanage for some time, but one day some bad people took him away. He told that he was walking alone near the orphanage because he had no friends and no one wanted to play with him.
But suddenly he smelled something and immediately fell asleep. When he woke up, he saw that there were beggars around him who were very dirty. The man was amazed by that story. They were very bad people, they did not give the boy food and forced him to beg. They were always by the boy’s side and it was impossible to escape. However, the boy managed to escape that day.
Then the man asked why she didn’t go back to the orphanage where it would be safer for her. The boy said that it is very far from there and he doesn’t know how to get there. The man decided that first they would report everything to the police and then they would take the boy to an orphanage. Then it turned out that the police knew about the boy and they thought that the boy ran away from the orphanage and did not know the truth.
They felt sorry for the young child after hearing his tragic story. They thanked the person who had helped the boy. The officers brought him a sandwich and chocolate milk, but he refused to eat it. He seemed to have lost his appetite. Since the boy was too stubborn to be separated from that person, the police let them stay together a little longer. The boy approached him and asked him to visit him sometimes.
He promised that the child would never feel alone and that he would definitely visit him. She didn’t worry too much about her work because she only thought about the boy. The next day he went to see the boy and fulfilled his promise. He bought shoes for the boy because he noticed that the boy’s shoes were very old. Lewis went to see Henry almost every day before work, and spending time with the toddler on weekends had become a tradition he would never break.
Soon after, he realized that he was so attached to Henry that he didn’t want to leave him. He decided to adopt him and asked Henry if he wanted him as a father. He went to the boy and asked if he would like him to be his father. The boy said that he wants him to be his father and loves him very much. He has always wanted to become a father and now his wishes have come true.
Soon the adoption process ended and he was able to bring the boy to his home. All that time, the police were still looking for the beggars who caught Henry. Then one day Lewis received a call and was told that the beggars had been arrested and that they had asked him to bring Henry to the police station to check their identities.
Henry confirmed that it was them. After that day, both of them were calm and happy with each other. They loved spending time together. One day Lewis met a woman at Henry’s school. She was the aunt of one of Henry’s classmates, Emily. They started dating and fell in love. Soon the boy learned that he was going to have a mother and was very happy. They got married and soon had children. Now everyone lives together and happily.
