Recently there was an incident that broke the hearts of millions of people.
Goodbyes are the hardest, but it was time for Mike Rittland to say good bye to his K9 partner of many years.
The dog, whose name was Carlos, unfortunately passed away so the former Navy SEAL decided to give him a proper farewell.
When Mike published a post describing his and Carlos’ 15 years of working life together, it touched hearts of many.
When it was time for him to retire, Mike decided to adopt Carlos forever, continuing their wonderful and strong friendship, the foundations of which were laid years ago…
That day, Mike wrapped Carlos in the American flag that he kept during each of his surgeries. That way he was showing how grateful he was.
Carlos was also given steak, his favorite food, before he passed away, thus ensuring that his best friend would die peacefully… It’s so heart touching.
