Only after 70 years did the couple decide to commemorate their 70th wedding anniversary in a unique way.
Their granddaughter is a wedding photographer, and she offered to do a session for her grandparents that they couldn’t do for their wedding.
This opportunity made the couple very happy. Nancy wore her wedding gown, which she had scrupulously saved, and Melvin wore his military uniform.
The photographs show that they both seemed to enjoy the shoot; they smiled frequently and gazed at each other with the same tenderness as previously.

Nancy’s wedding dress was in excellent condition, and the old woman looked amazing in it.
“I kept my dress for many years because it was special to me.
I loved it.
It was very nice to put it on again and remember the wedding day and take pictures,” the woman shared.
“I am honored to be her husband,” Melvin said.
Melvin really liked the photoshoot.
When he saw his wife in her wedding dress, the memories came flooding back instantly.
The couple had five children, 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
They mentioned that the secret to a happy marriage is to always respect each other, even when you disagree.
